Privacy notice
Your data, handled with care.
This notice explains what Redisco collects when you value or sell a piece, why we hold it, and the control you keep over it under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

Who we are
Redisco is the data controller for the personal data described here. If you have any question about this notice or want to exercise a right, email privacy@redisco.co and we will respond.
What we collect
The photos, metal, and weight you enter to value a piece, and the resulting valuation.
Your name and email when you save a valuation to a portfolio or start a sale, plus the postal address you give us to send a prepaid label.
If a friend invited you by email, the email address they shared so we could send that one-off invite.
Basic technical data (device, approximate location, pages viewed) — but only analytics you have consented to. See “Cookies and analytics” below.
Why we can process it
To provide the valuation and sale service you asked for and to create your account — the steps taken to enter into and perform our contract with you (UK/EU GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
To meet our legal obligations, such as anti-money-laundering and tax record-keeping for completed purchases (Article 6(1)(c)).
For optional analytics, only where you have given consent (Article 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw it at any time.
Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to run the site — these do not need consent. We only load analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) after you accept them in our cookie banner.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using “Cookie preferences” in the site footer.
How long we keep it
We keep your piece and valuation for as long as you have an account. A valuation you start but never save is kept only briefly, then removed, along with any invite email that was never taken up.
Records of a completed sale are kept for as long as the law requires us to retain them.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the processors that run the service on our behalf — our carrier for insured postage, our payment provider to pay you, and our email and analytics providers — each under contract and only for these purposes. We never sell your data.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, correct it, restrict or object to its use, or have it erased at any time. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting past processing.
Email privacy@redisco.co and we will action it. You also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
